My name is Tonya Hackett. My family and I moved to Colorado Springs from Greeley, Colorado last July. In addition to teaching fourth graders, I am a wife, a mom, and a Jazzercise instructor.
My husband is an editorial content manager for Compassion International as well as a talented artist; a writer and an illustrator. My older daughter will soon be learning how to drive- yikes! My younger daughter is looking forward to another season of volleyball.
I have a BA in Elementary Education and a MA in Arts Integration in Education. This is my seventeenth year teaching elementary children ranging from preschool to sixth grade. I love working with kids! Believe me, there is never a dull moment. I'm also wired to move and groove A LOT! We have many brain breaks throughout the day and move, move, move. This is probably why I also fell in love with Jazzercise and became a certified instructor five years ago.
